Parthenolide Induces Apoptosis and Cell Cycle Arrest by the Suppression of miR-375 Through Nucleolin in Prostate Cancer

Aims: To investigate the effect of parthenolide on nucleolin in controlling expression miR-375 that induces apoptosis and cell cycle arrest prostate cancer.
 Study Design: This study is an experimental study.
 Methodology: The cytotoxicity was tested by MTT assay for 48 h. Microscopic techniques were used to identify morphological changes line. apoptotic regulatory genes analyzed Real-Time PCR. phase identified Flow cytometry.
 Results: obtained results indicated induced suppressed proliferation reducing growth LNCaP cells microscopic analysis showed alteration morphology increase cytoplasmic reactive oxygen species. Parthenolide promotes downregulation nucleolin, Bcl-2, up-regulation Bax gene. Moreover, flow cytometry G1/G0 arrest.
 Conclusion: through suppression cancer cells.
